Each paragraph you write is matched semantically against passages in the source documents you've uploaded. Suggestions only fire at confidence ≥ 75%, so the gutter stays clean.

What happens if I edit the source document after anchoring?

If the source quote is no longer present in the paragraph, the anchor's gutter dot turns grey and you're prompted to re-locate or dismiss it. Your work is never silently broken.

Are anchor quotes searchable?

Source quotes and anchor notes are encrypted at rest, then indexed via semantic embeddings (Qdrant) so you can still search them — without exposing plaintext to the database.

Can I export a document with anchor citations?

Today, PDF and DOCX export render the prose with bracketed citations [1] [2] and a Sources section listing each anchored quote — click Export in the draft toolbar.
