Short answer
A data room is a controlled space where confidential documents are shared with specific people, typically in a transaction, a dispute or a client matter. Attorly has its own encrypted data rooms with per-room permissions, and on Enterprise it imports documents from external data rooms and DMS platforms into due diligence cases.
Attorly data rooms
- Every file is encrypted at rest and in transit.
- View, edit and share permissions are set per data room, so outside counsel can see one room without seeing the rest.
- Invite clients, co-counsel or counterparties and revoke access at any time.
- Tags, folders and bulk actions keep large rooms manageable.
External data rooms
On Enterprise, due diligence cases import from Intralinks data rooms and from Box, Dropbox, iManage and NetDocuments. The import copies the selected files; nothing is written back to the source.
Frequently asked questions
