How do I export my data and leave Attorly?

Last updated:

Short answer

You can download every document and export redlines as DOCX at any time, export all account data as a machine-readable JSON file from settings, cancel in one click, and delete the account yourself. Documents are removed within 30 days of account deletion.

Steps to leave

  1. Download what you need

Download original documents from the document view. Export redlines as a DOCX with tracked changes, the accepted changes only, or a clean version. Export analysis reports as PDF or DOCX and due diligence reports as PDF.

  2. Export your account data

In settings, export your data. You get one JSON file with your account, documents metadata, analyses, conversations, drafts and other records, decrypted for you.

  3. Cancel the subscription

Cancel in account settings. You keep access until the end of the paid period.

  4. Delete the account

Delete the account in settings. Documents are deleted within 30 days and analyses within 90 days of their document, as published in the data processing agreement.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a fee to export or leave?
No.
Can I import the JSON export into another tool?
It is a plain, documented-by-field JSON file, so it can be read by scripts. No other vendor imports it directly.
What about data in connected systems?
Connectors only read, so nothing in iManage, NetDocuments, Box, Dropbox or Intralinks changes when you leave. Remove the Attorly app in the source system’s settings to revoke access.
