How to import a data room into a due diligence case

Last updated:

Short answer

In a due diligence case, open Tabular review and choose Import from cloud. Pick the provider, sign in to it in the pop-up, choose the library, data room or workspace where the provider has one, select up to 500 files per import and start the import. Attorly copies the files into the project, encrypted at rest, and analyses each one.

Steps

  1. Open the case

Open the due diligence case and go to Tabular review.

  2. Choose Import from cloud

Pick Google Drive, OneDrive or SharePoint — or Box, Dropbox, Intralinks, iManage or NetDocuments once they are switched on for your firm. If you have connected the provider before, Attorly reuses the connection.

  3. Sign in to the provider

Complete the provider’s sign-in in the pop-up window. Attorly stores the access token encrypted and asks only for the access it needs to list and download files.

  4. Select files

Choose the library, data room, workspace or cabinet where the provider has one, browse its folders and select the files. One import takes up to 500 files.

  5. Import

Start the import. Each file is downloaded, stored encrypted and analysed; the dialog shows progress per file and the documents appear in the project as they land.

Requirements

  • Enterprise plan for due diligence projects (connectors themselves are part of Pro and Enterprise).
  • An account in the source system with access to the files.
  • Each file must be 10 MB or smaller and of a supported type.

Frequently asked questions

Does Attorly change anything in the data room?
No. Connectors read and download; they never write back.
Can I import from Google Drive or SharePoint?
Yes — both are available connectors, along with OneDrive. Connect them under Settings › Integrations or directly from the import dialog.
