Short answer
The NetDocuments connector lets you sign in to NetDocuments, browse it from inside Attorly and import the documents you select into a case, your library or a due diligence project. Each import becomes an ordinary Attorly document: encrypted at rest and analysed like an upload. It reads only; nothing is written back to NetDocuments. Connectors are part of the Pro and Enterprise plans; NetDocuments is switched on per firm on request.
What it does
- Sign in to NetDocuments with OAuth from Settings › Integrations, or straight from the «Import from cloud» button in a case.
- Browse NetDocuments cabinets, workspaces and folders.
- Select up to 500 files per import. They are copied into the case as a batch import, then categorised and analysed.
- Imported documents behave like uploads: they are analysed, searchable, and can join a Tabular Review and due diligence reports.
Set it up
Ask for the connector
NetDocuments is switched on per firm: contact support and we enable it for your organisation. Connectors are part of Pro and Enterprise.
Connect NetDocuments
Open Settings › Integrations › Cloud connectors (or «Import from cloud» in a case) and complete the sign-in in the pop-up window with an account that can see the documents.
Pick and import
Browse to the documents, select them and start the import. Each file shows up as a document as soon as it is in.
Limits
- Pro and Enterprise plans, and only once Attorly has switched the connector on for your firm.
- Read-only: no write-back of documents, versions, comments or metadata.
- Each file must be 10 MB or smaller and of a supported type (PDF, Word, text, spreadsheets, slides or images).
- Imports are one-off copies, not a live sync. Re-import a document to pick up a newer version.
- The connector talks to the NetDocuments service at vault.netvoyage.com. Other NetDocuments regions are not supported yet.
Security
- Attorly stores the NetDocuments access token encrypted and uses it only to list and download the files you choose.
- Imported documents are encrypted at rest and in transit, like any upload.
- To revoke access, remove the Attorly app in NetDocuments’s own settings, or ask support to delete the stored connection. Deleting your Attorly account deletes it too.
Frequently asked questions
- My firm uses NetDocuments in the EU. Will it work?
- Not yet. The connector supports the NetDocuments service at vault.netvoyage.com only. Upload the files directly instead.
- Is NetDocuments available on Pro?
- Yes. Cloud connectors are part of Pro and Enterprise. Importing into a due diligence project additionally needs Enterprise, which includes due diligence.
